Artist
Wolfgang Alexander Kossuth was born in Pfronten, Germany, in 1947.
After finishing his studies he moved to Naples in 1968 where he was awarded diploma in violin studies. He won an international competition for a place as Violin at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
From 1970 to 1972 he played in that orchestra and studied composition and orchestra conducting.
In 1979 he quit a thriving musical career to devote himself to sculpture.
In 1981 the Museum inaugurated the scale portrait of Mario DelMonaco, in 1986 the statue Auditorium Domenico Scarlatti RAI Naples, in 1992 the sculpture Simona joined the collection Museum Paaw Wassenaar Holland. In 1993 the portrait of the poet Vittorio Sereni is placed in the Museum of Luino. The large sculpture dedicated to Niccolo 'Paganini is placed in the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa.
In 1995 the sculpture Salome 'In love and in 1997 the sculpture will come in part of the collection of the Museum of Busto Arsizio Bandera in 1999 Maternity UNICEF's work becomes a symbol of the Republic of San Marino._Nel 2003 receives a plaque from the study center-choreographed theater Carcano in recognition of his artistic work devoted to the the art of dance. In January 2004 he was awarded the plaque of President of the Republic on the occasion of the exhibition The Icarus to fly-by today.
Alexander Kossuth, who describes how his biography, left language of music to focus their creativity in plastic, and 'a clear example of contemporary fashion that escapes the period. Nothing classic, but some references to symbols and mythology, linking the work of Kossuth sculpture Hellenistic or Roman classic. The figure is not 'never, never retracted property in the work of Kossuth, who tries in every work and muscle tension emotional. Some figures such as Daniel and Summer seem about Faunus to crack, elastic flesh that defy the anatomy of the body human to enhance the sophistication of a dance movement, the intensity of a hug, a precarious balance. The richness of detail, refined description of a working muscle, the smooth sheen surface, never to seek a photographic realism, to challenge the limits of skill sculpture. The sculpture will not be style exercise in Kossuth, have shown that innate high, partly from this fact, as part of an alphabet to tell. It 's not pleased to be able to carve, but surreal search limits of the human body, an unearthly beauty that goes beyond the data descriptive when talking about famous people including the public mass. A portrait of Roberto Bolle and Alessandra Ferri are not simple tributes to the names of prestigious international art scene. Are pretexts for research into the human body and harmony of his movements. Analysis becomes pure introspection Kossuth when approaching a face. The bronze Mario Soldati tells him much 'of a photo and the choice of leaving visible surfaces of the clay from which the wax bronze have been obtained, describes in fine binding Soldiers of the indissoluble terra._Raffinatezza and elegance, lightness and balance, have found the ideal expression with the use of bronze resine._Il and bronze, lost wax casting, and 'always been one of materials' fascinating sculpture.
Its plasticity, heat the metal forward to the compositions, the opportunity to skate and smooth the surface with different shades, make this material unique. The complexity of movement, size, Research continues to detail put to the test the skill of will merge these works. The dark patina to allow only light of draw muscular tension, relief of a face, the binding together more 'figures. Never takes the bronze-size statues' Understanding as a material act to commemorate the celebration, the static.
Seems to describe carefully the softness and elasticity of skin, flesh and muscle, supporting continued research of sculptor. For Kossuth bronze becomes a means to achieve the idea initial, and never in expressing limit.
