Artist

Riccardo Evangelisti, born in Ceprano (near Rome) in 1971, where he still lives and works.  Before gaining his diploma in arts his first artworks had already been received very positively from the world of arts.

His father is an art gallery curator in Frosinone and so thanks to his father he has always been in contact with the world of art, getting inspiration from various masters.  It is in this environment that the first signs of his evident talent begin to show.

His maturity is to grow over the years, shaping his style with Caravaggio as his point of reference. With the passing of years he perfects his style of hyperrealism, choosing mainly still lifes as his subjects.

Thanks to his father he meets the master Luciano Ventrone, becoming his pupil in the masters studio in Casalpalocco (Rome) and later Collelongo (Aquila).

In 1996 he is invited to, as the first real recognition of his work, to the XII Quadrennial "Ultime Generazioni" in the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome.
