Artist
Giacinto Bosco, born in 1956 in Alcamo, obliged by the necessities of daily life, found his way to local workshops where hehwas tutored and giuded by experienced artisans. At 15 he moved to Milan where his vocation led him to embrace the profession of artistic caster, wich he still pactices today. The foundry where he worked bacame the meeting place for sculptors and artists, from whome he drew inspiration and stimulation. He attended the Bramante Artistic Lyceum in Milan where Prof. Teruggi encouraged him to develop his artistic talent. In 1990 he became a member of "Permanente" Society, and his first public ommissions began:"The Light" in Rescaldina 1997, the Statue of John Paul II 2006, "A Paceful World" 2008 for the city of Garbagnate 2008, followed by the Monument dedicated to the Carabinieri who fell at Nassiriya 2008\2009 in Borgosesia, and the Statue of Pope Benedict XVI for the Basilica of Santa Maria of Leuca. Presently he is working on his first Personal Exhibition in Positano, called the "Aphorism of the Moon", based on extraordinary images from dreams wich he has transformed and moulded into sculptures.
