Ferdinando Quintavalla was born in 1951 in Parma.

Ever since he was a young boy he has revealed an extraordinary passion for fine art and figurative arts.

However, despite his passion for the arts Quintavalla never went to study but learned the art of painting as an autodidact, which has become his only vocation for more than twenty years now.

When painting he aims to recall on the formal perfection and sublime technique of the past thus recalling on the mastery of Caravaggio or Baschemis, yet always maintaining his very own and “modern” approach to his subject matter.

His works have been successfully shown in numerous Italian and foreign galleries (temporarily as well as permanent), and are to be found in important private and public collections, such as: CIRIO, DE RICA, BERTOLLI, GARDESIA, AVERNA.

- Quintavalla is also well known as a graphic designer, ceramist and sculptor.
